One of my favorite ways to add protein when I'm eating a plant-based meal is through Edamame. Edamame is the young soy bean. When it is steamed, you can eat the inside beans (don't eat the pod) and - with a sprinkle of sea salt on top- it really is delicious! One cup of Edamame gives you about 18 grams of protein, making it a great side dish to almost any meal!
