Work out tip #2 Move it or lose it, but move it in different ways

Most of us move in a front-to-back motion day to day. We seldom move sideways, backward or diagonal on purpose. It's when those movements show up unexpectedly that we can get in trouble (read injured). So why not try adding in sideways/diagonal or backward movement into your day? Or into your workout? These can be super helpful both for fitness and for injury prevention.

One way you can do this is to add in side-slides or cariocas into your daily run or walk. At the gym you can add in side lunges or reverse lunges in place of forward lunges, or side step-ups in place of forward facing step ups.
